        Crossword puzzle
        Identify the language

The chocolate brand Marabou was founded in 1916 in Sweden as an affiliated company to the Norwegian brand Freia. Since the name "Freia" was already taken in Sweden the new company was named Marabou, after the stork which had been the symbol of Freia in Oslo since 1915 and still is today.

Marabou Mjölkchoklad (Milk chocolate) has been around since they started chocolate manufacturing in Sundbyberg, Sweden, in 1919 and constitutes as the base in almost all Marabou products. But it hasn't always tasted like it does today.

First they produced a milk chocolate which resembled the chocolate bars manufactured in so many other chocolate factories around Europe. But in the 1950's it became possible to manufacture chocolate with a technique called "crumb".

After a lot of experimenting Marabou launched a completely new milk chocolate in 1956, with the distinct caramelized flavor we know today. At the same time they introduced a thicker bar with the slogan "Dubbelt så tjock – dubbelt så god" ("Twice as thick - twice as good"). It was huge success and sales increased by 50%.

The introduction of Marabou's new milk chocolate in 1956 was done with the help of two of the most popular Swedish actors of that time, – Sture Lagervall and Yvonne Lombard. In film after film they're munching on Marabou Mjölkchoklad (milk chocolate) uttering the famous expression "Mmm…Marabou".

The stork symbol was used until the end of the 1960's, when Swedish count Sigvard Bernadotte offered his services to renew the Marabou logo. This resulted in the now classic M replacing the stork.

In the 80's the slogan "Smaken man aldrig glömmer" ("The taste you never forget") was used and in the 90's the classical "Mmm…Marabou" was resumed. In 2002 the new advertising concept "Små goda ögonblick" ("Little moments of enjoyment") was introduced.

Today Marabou manufactures approximately 200 tonnes/day, mainly made from cocoa beans from West Africa (the Ivory Coast, Ghana).

In the country where they eat "sjokolade" the 1994 Winter Olympics were held.

In the country where they eat "suklaa" many people speak Swedish as their mother tongue, this is not Swedish though.

In the country where they eat "çikolada" they stand with one foot in Europe and the other in Asia, where most of its landmass is.

In the country where they eat "czekolada" there's a political party called Solidarność which once had a strong leader in Lech Wałęsa.
